Easter is not just about bunnies and chocolate eggs.
The Christian definination of Easter Sunday marks the Resurrection of Jesus three days after his death by crucifixion. For many Christian churches, Easter is the joyful end to the Lenten season of fasting and penitence.
However is has been adopted as a national holiday and a time when many families see this as the ebd of winter and the beginning of summer.
An egg is a symbol of new life. For Christians, Easter eggs are used as a symbol for the resurrection of Jesus.
Easter is a time for families and celebration no matter your religious beliefs.

01/03/2024 Brain Tumour Awareness Month
Today marks the start of Brain Tumour Awareness Month and a month-long campaign of events to raise awareness of this devastating disease that kills more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. A brain tumour occurs as a result of an abnormal growth or spread of cells from within the brain or its supporting tissues that can damage the brain or threaten its function.
Brain tumours are divided into four classifications – grades 1 and 2 are low-grade, grades 3 and 4 are classed as high-grade. High-grade or malignant brain tumours are aggressive and can spread quickly in the brain, and are usually a serious threat to life. Low-grade or benign brain tumours are slower-growing and not usually immediately life threatening, but can still have a potentially dangerous impact on a person’s well-being.

originally in honour of an early Christian Martyr named Saint Valentine and later, through folk traditions, Valentine's Day has become a significant cultural, religious and a celebration of romance and love in many regions of the world.
Who could forget receiving their first 'Valentine's Day' card or sending one in secret?
It is a tradition which has not passed by many of us, as we have all been caught up with the commercialism of Valentine's Day at some point .
However at the heart of all of the Valentine's Day celebrations it really comes down to the fact its a day when you can tell the ones you love how you feel, the love that is in your heart and how much they mean to you.
So embrace Valentine's Day knowing you made someone feel very special, but remember, every day should be Valentine's Day towards the ones you love.

11/11/2023 Remembrance Day
Rembembrance Day (also known as Poppy Day) is a memorial day observed in Commonwealth counries since the end of the First World War to honour armed forces members who have lost their loves in the line of duty.
The hostilities anded on the 11th Hour of the 11th Day of the 11th Month 1918.
The Poppy represents all those who lost their lives on active service from the the very beginning of World War One right up to present day.
